Sals Famous Pizzeria was founded in 1971 in Brooklyn NY by Salvatore Elmazo Sr.

Sals is currently operating in Hartford Wisconsin and owned by Sal jr and his wife Rachel. Sals serves authentic New York style pizza by the pie or by the slice, we prepare all of our pies the old fashioned way by hand, no dough machines no frozen ready made crust no magic tricks but simply the lost art of pizza pie tossing. Our pies are all made to order and cooked in our massive brick ovens that have been brought over from Italy.

Sal and Rachel capture the spirit of New York by serving fresh hand tossed pizza, fast friendly service topped with our signature homemade sauce that has been a treasured family recipe for many genarations and our pizza is just a start, try our famous calzones or strombolis that are made to order and baked to perfection or one of our delicious homemade italian dinners and last but not least our world famous garlic knots!

With its family friendly enviorment and very loyal following Sals serves hundreds of people each week. Seating is traditional in its time worn booths surrounded by photos and New York memorabila. We keep it simple and do it well and we cordially invite you in for a pie!!
